Jewellery
To make jewellery you will need either gold or silver bars, and the corresponding moulds to what you wish to craft. To get the bars, mine gold or silver from their respective rocks (Mining guide). Then smelt the ores in a furnace to make bars (Smithing guide).
Mining Ores
Smelting Bars
You now need to turn your bars into jewellery. Purchase a mould from the crafting shop in Al Kharid or Rimmington (Atlas). These are 5gp each. The holy symbol mould is used for silver, the ring, necklace and amulet moulds are used with gold. There is also an unholy symbol mould (location unknown).
With the correct mould in your inventory, use a bar with a furnace, and select the object you wish to make.
Moulding Jewellery
If you have made a holy/unholy symbol or an amulet, you now need to string it. Use sheers with a sheep to get wool. Sheep are found in fields just south of Varrock, near the stone circle, or next to the Lumbridge furnace, north of the general store (Atlas). Use the resulting wool on a spinning wheel - the nearest are in Lumbridge Castle, south west tower, or in the pickaxe shop in the Barbarian Village.
You will get a ball of wool. Use this with the object to string it.
You can now get your holy symbol blessed. Take it to Brother Jerred in the monastry. He will bless it, and it will now give you +8 prayer when worn.
You can add gems to all gold jewellery items, to increase their value. You will occaisionally find a gem while mining (Mining guide). If you are high enough crafting level, you can cut the gem with a chisel. Then have the gem in your inventory when making the jewellery - you will be asked whether you wish to add a gem or not. Note: Dragonstone is a members only gem.
Cutting Gems
If you have added a gem to an amulet, you can enchant it at a certain magic level (Magic guide). The amulet will then give you some kind of bonus.
