This is our 16th annual "Run for Peace." Formerly run in Lititz, PA, our new course is located in Elizabethtown, PA In addition to the one mile run, our race format features a 5K or 10K option and our first annual "Walk For Peace".  These events have as their on-going theme an emphasis on International Peace and Justice. By participating in these events, our runners and walkers are directly involved in making a personal and positive statement for world peace. In former years, our proceeds have gone to support Church of the Brethren projects such as: World Friendship Center in Hiroshima, Japan; Heifer Project International; Habitat for Humanity; Agricultural Exchange Programs in Poland; a Balkans Peace Team; Christian Peacemaker Teams in the Middle East; Brethren World Peace Acadamy in New Windsor, MD; Brethren Volunteer Service; On Earth Peace; a Well-Drilling Project in the Sudan; the Maria Luisa Ortiz Women's Medical Center in Mulikuku, Nicoragua; rebuilding hurricane-damaged homes in the Dominican Republic. This year's proceeds will be used to benefit the Brethren Housing Association in Harrisburg, PA and the work of Habitat for Humanity International. Questions?
