Withdrawal: Because this class is an on-line class it is of utmost importance for you to respond to all e-mails or you might be dropped from the course. If you must withdraw from the class, be sure that you fill out an official withdrawal form at the Admissions and Records Office. This will ensure that you receive a W and not an F.

Course Description:

EN 101 seeks to help you refine your ability to express yourself well in academic written English. The goal is to assist you in producing several short expository essays that are unified, well organized and grammatically clear. The most common rhetorical patterns will be practiced and we will look at model essays in order to determine what makes them successful. We will also analyze and practice transitional expressions to develop cohesion and coherence in expression.

PLAGIARISM

Academic Dishonesty, as stated on page 28 of the Northern Marianas College 2002-2004 catalog "cannot be condoned by the college. Such dishonesty includes cheating and plagiarism..., which may result in expulsion from the College. " Plagiarism-taking credit for writing done by others-is a serious form of cheating and will be dealt with seriously. You can't learn to write unless you do your own writing. Any work which is suspected of being copied from someone else will be graded an F and will seriously drag down your final grade.
Don't even consider this "shortcut"!
