Relationships

It's not the the fall that injures; it's the sudden stop.
Will I ever find the man of my dreams, my one true love, my "Soul mate"?

Ode to...

You Are My Life
You give me reason to get up in the morning
You fill my day with happiness
Just the sight of you makes my heart beat faster
I hurry through my daily chores
Hoping to spend an extra minute with you
You relax me when the evening comes
You keep me warm throughout the night
Your touch is warm as you wet my lips
You make my whole body tingle with joy
Your many different taste excite me
As I hold you in my hands, I know
You will always be the only one for me
You are Coffee! and I never want to be without you

The Strange One

One day, I was walking down the street, just minding my own business, with my head hung low. I could feel the weight of the world on my shoulders- sometimes I just get that way, I don't know why and I never really cared to know. Anyway, there I was, just walking along when all of a sudden this car that had been passing by comes screeching to a hault. You should have seen the way those other cars damn near wrecked trying to get around it. Then it started backing up! It was a nice car, an old Mustang or Corvette or something like that. You could tell it had been fixed up to be a hot rod. Anyway, I stopped dead in my tracks thinking, "What the hell?" Then I noticed the driver, he was a big ol' ugly guy, looked like he had been beat with an ugly stick a few billion times. He had long fuzzy hair with a bandana wrapped around his head and a leather vest, with jeans that looked like they hadn't been changed in a couple months. Yeah, you know the type.
He pulled up next to me, rolled down his window and tells me to get in. Of course, I'm wondering to myself, how is he going to move all that blubber so I can fit in. Well, he manages it, so I get in the car. Then he says, "Hey Babe, you look like you could use a ride". Then I said, "Yeah Babe, where are we going?" Then he says, "I know this place that has a really good view of the city." So, I said, "OK", and we go.
He was right, it was a great view of the city. We had sat there for a while, thinking about our own little worlds when he asked, "So, what do you think?" I told him and he said, "Yeah, me too." Then he says, "Well, I guess we should be going back now. It's just that I like to get away sometimes and this is the best place I've seen around here, so I like to share it."
He drove me back to where he had picked me up and after I got out of the car I began to think "OK, maybe he wasn't such an ugly guy after all."
