| "Well," said the Doctor, "it appears we've arrived, anyway."
"Yes, it appears we have," Betty agrees.
The Doctor pushes a control, and the inner doors of the TARDIS open.
"After you," the Doctor, ever the gentleman, says, "I have a few friends
I'm sure that could do wonders in remedying this conumdrum we seem to be
having with this mysterious blue crystal that Jo Grant sent by parcel back
to me. Any input would be appreciated my dear."
The Doctor and Betty Ragan exit the TARDIS, to be greeted by the sight
of the Brigadier and Sargent Benton, and a body covered by a sheet!
"Dear heaven, Doctor!" the Brigadier says, surprised, "I must say that
after the fuss you made after seeing something in the blue crystal that
killed that poor chap over their in fright that I am rather surprised that
your TARDIS arrived back so quickly.....after you just left."
Betty and the Doctor look at each other, surprised.
"I hope I'm not being rude," Sargent Benton ventures, "But who is this
young lady you've brought along with you?"
-
"I am.....Betty
Ragan and I'm rather glad to be able to meet you," Betty says, trying not
to look over at the corpse of one Professor Clegg, psychic entertainer.
