| Bags are packed, arrangements made, and goodbyes are said. The biggest
event of the day is when, right on schedule, a ship lands to pick up Mulder,
Scully, and Mulder's sister to whisk them offplanet and to their new home,
elsewhere. The sight of the spaceship causes quiet the stir amongst the
locals, believe me.
Mulder thanks the Doctor and Stacy (who is coming along to have
her amnesia cured by Military medicine) for all they've done.....and also
said farewell to the others as well.
After also saying her farewells to the others (and hugging the surprised
Doctor), Scully and the others are boarding the ship.
"Well, you always did say that there were aliens out there and spaceships
that travelled between the stars," Scully says, looking up at the craft
they are boarding, "I dare say that you are right."
"Why wouldn't he be?" Mulder's sister asks, curious, "What's happened
in the past that would make you think otherwise?"
Before Mulder and Scully could answer that, Stacy gets in on the act.
"Hey, could I finally get both of your autographs?" she asks pensively,
holding up the X-file book she'd been reading.
"Don't see why not." Mulder smiles as the hatch closes behind them.
The ship lifts off, and the others watch them go.
"Don't worry," the Doctor smiles over at the pensive Betty as they head
for the TARDIS, "It isn't like we can't go and see them anytime soon. The
TARDIS can reach Terra Prime, you know....as well as your twin's world."
"It shows that much, eh?" Betty sighs, "It's crazy! I mean awhile ago
I was red hot on leaving....now I'm feeling like I'm leaving family. Like
Betty and Ragan are....."
"Flesh and blood....beloved sisters," the Doctor finished, nodding in
understanding, "Well, that's to be expected from what a few magic using
friends of mine back on Terra Prime. If you hadn't flown into a homicidal
rage...or at least a good fit of hatred and anger at seeing them, then
the opposite happens...and you soon love them like close kin.
"I should know....I am rather fond of my ‘brothers,'" the Time Lord
sighs as they enter the TARDIS.
Betty, remembering that the Doctor had said that he had several "dopplegangers"
running around here in this universe as well, tries to picture the three
duplicate Doctors together...and laughs a little at the image.

Probably
would be the only time that he'd say that anyone else had as good of taste
in clothing as himself, Betty quiped.
