| Prince Karo was, to say the least, outraged. "Now see here!" he thundered.
"I am the ruler of this land, and at least one of you was sent here to
be my wife and the mother of my children! If I say you shall compete for
the honor, compete you shall!"
"Hah! 'Honor' he says! Some honor!" snorted the first girl.
"Here we are, obviously lost and without even the knowledge of
who we are," added the second girl angrily, "And he expects us to grovel
at his feet and beg to serve him!"
The third girl sneered, "Should we also anticipate the joy we
shall receive by selling you our virtues?"
By now Karo was trembling in anger. "This - this is an outrage!"
he proclaimed. "No one - no one may talk to the sovereign Prince
in such a manner!"
"Well, perhaps it's about time someone did!"
"It's no wonder you tried to import one of us as your wife - we
can see plainly that no self-respecting woman would voluntarily
submit to you!"
"So you're a prince - you're also overbearing!"
"And vain!"
"And not particularly handsome!"
"You're a bully!"
"And a coward!"
"And you smell horrible!"
"And to top it off, the only thing bigger than your gut is your
ego!"
Karo was now in the grip of a towerinf rage, sputtering and turning
a deep reddish-purple with vitriol.
-
Before
he could say anything, the three girls turned, as one, and marched from
the palace.
