Prince Karo knew that one of the three young women must have been Tilz,
but he did not recall where the mage had been standing in relation to the
two statues. Still, perhaps things had worked out for the best. There were
now three candidates to be his bride. He introduced himself to the women,
and suggested that a competition should be held between them to assess
their worthiness, with the winner to be his bride.

one, they said: "Stuff your competition, O Prince. You presume far too
much on such short acquaintance."
