Uhura Frita-Nyota D'Honaire - Imagine a Frederigo D'Honaire who, like a few other Freds, got entrapped by a powerful mage while seeking out to destroy "his" Dragon of the Southern Caverns and was forced to choose a set of clothing that would transform him into some kind of woman. From there, the transformed Fred would be teleported into their new fate and left there. In this Fred's case, he chose a red dress that turns out to be the one that you might have seen Lt. Uhura of Star Trek: TOS wear. Fred (let us call her "Uhura" from now on for convenience) found herself transported onto the Enterprise NCC-1701, with the memories and knowledge of the person she'd replaced. She had a misadventure and soon found herself down in Sickbay, strapped to a medical couch.

Well, not to spoil things, her new friends help her win free and regain control of the Enterprise. However, in the course of cutting off the alien influence the entities had been exerting through the unborn children, a strange thing happened. The unborn embryos original owners (i.e. the spirits within the embryos who's body the alien entities took over) regained control of their old bodies, and were.....rather scared. A link between mother and unborn child formed in every case, and the surprised mothers hearts were touched. To a woman, they all fell in love with their unborn child and vice versa. This would lead to a mass of resignations from Star Fleet by the Enterprise women, effective as soon as possible (i.e. the Enterprise is going to have a massive crew turnover). This included Uhura. It accelerated her acceptance of her transformation and locked it in. She no longer though of herself as a male and lost all interest in returning to being a man. She wanted to go with her new family (the other D'Honaires) and raise her child as best she could on Terra Prime.
However, in the course of things she helped track down and rescue the "real" Uhura (who'd been transformed into a three inch tall pixie....and in order to help save the "real" Uhura, her and her unborn child's spirit were transplanted into the pixie (who was also with child) and vice versa.
Has changed her name to reflect her new lot in life (and to seal the transformation permanently). No longer calling herself Frederigo D'Honaire, she first changed her name to Uhura Nyota D'Honaire (taking her new first name from Lt. Uhura's last name and making that communication officer's first name her middle name). She added "Frita" later to her middle name to.....celebrate her transformation.
Was met by King Oberon and Queen Titania and soon ceded over to the Champions of Order and Chaos. This was done because like many recent fairy transformatees who came into being through the Oracle, she had a religious belief that wasn't....compatible to the Fey. Originally, that had been a deliberate ploy by the Oracle, who knew that because of that the Seelie and Unseelie Court wouldn't claim the new Fey folk.....thus leaving them unaligned. Being unaligned would have been too much of a strain on the fairy's mind and it would snap, driving her permanently insane and dangerous. By ceding over Uhura to the Champions (making her a Champion as well in the process), that saved her from that.
Is now rasing her child (a male) back on Terra Prime. Also is currently taking magical lessons in order to get a better handle on her newfound magical powers.....
