robots. Her designated Evangelion is Unit 0, the prototype model.

Rei is a very enigmatic person. She keeps
to herself and doesn't socialise much. She doesn't seem to have
any friends. There
have been several clues in the Evangelion series that point
to the fact that Rei may have been a clone of Yui Ikari, Shinji's
mother. This, however, is not proven. |
