Description: Bardiel is the Angel that contaminated Eva 3. It escaped from the NERV branch and destroyed it using it's A.T. Field. It's pilot was Touji Suzahara, a friend of Shinji. As it appraoched Tokyo-3, the Eva's were dispatched to intercept it. Shinji refused to fight the Angel as his friend was inside. The Angel was destroyed when the dummy plug system was used. The Eva with the dummy plug strangled the Angel and ripped it apart. The pilot survived.

Description: Zerual attacked NERV as Shinji resigned from his post as Eva pilot. Asuka and Rei tried desperately to destroy this Angel, but failed. It's sharp paper like hands cut through nearly anything. Shinji then made the choice to pilot Eva again. The target was destroyed when the Eva ran out of power and became a berseker. The Eva then became conscious and ate the Angels S-2 organ and incorporated it in itself. Shinji was dissolved in the LCL since he achieved a synch ratio of around 400%!

Name: Areal

Description: Areal appeared in orbit around the Earth. No weapon from Earth could penetrate the Angel's A.T. Field as it was too far away. It attacked Asuka in Eva 2 by using a ray to probe Asuka's mind. It was destroyed when Rei used the Lance of Longinus to destroy the Areal.
