For A Great Portrait
The reference photo
It all starts with a good reference photo.

I draw from photographs provided by the client. The quality of the final artwork is DIRECTLY related to the quality and detail in the reference photo.

Here are two basic guidelines I use to determine if I can use a photograph as a reference for a portrait.

1.      The face must be at least 1 inches in diameter in the original photo and clearly visible.

2.      The whites of the eyes must be clearly visible.

The size of the photo is not as important as the size of the subject in the photo.  In other words, a 2x3 photo could qualify, as long as it meets the two guidelines above.
Pricing Info:
Prices are largely dependent on number of subjects, adding subjects from different photos, paper size, and extras such as hands, detailed clothing, backgrounds, and other objects.  However, the basic prices are listed below, which are portraits drawn showing the head and shoulders of the subject(s).

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The time to complete a portrait depends on the number of subjects, size, background (if any) and any additional items or detail.  The work load of the artist also determines the time it takes to complete and deliver your portrait.

An average turn around time is generally 3 to 6 weeks.  This time increases during special holidays such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day and Christmas.
