Grim stands at just shy of 6 feet tall. He is rather stocky and in excellent physical shape. His shoulder length hair is blond/brown with shots of gray running through it. His eyes are gray. He has a rough and worn look about him. He usually wears armor that looks like it consists of a breast plate and whatever he could cobble together. He is always armed with at least two weapons. His face is expressionless.
- Emotional Characteristics:
Grim went through some severe personal and emotional traumas which included death of loved ones, 13 month drinking binge, mental/verbal/emotional abuse, and clinical insanity. After defeating his personal demons he is emotionally �burned out� and tends to view things clinically. Not necessarily coldly logical, but he tends to view things in terms of necessary or unnecessary. In Grim�s world it isn�t Good vs. Evil it is Us vs. Them. He also tends to place function over form.
- Mother and Father:
Grim was born Jonathan Amberson to Florimal on Shadow Earth on July 5th, 1915. His father is a question mark.
- Who raised you (If not raised by your biological parents):
Since Flora was observing Corwin at the time and the affairs of Amber were rather chaotic, it was unsafe for her to keep him (but she did watch over him). So, she had him adopted by a lovely couple in Ohio. He knew he was adopted (they kept his name) but it didn�t bother him because they insisted that they �chose� him. His father was a machinist and his mother was a nurse and he grew up having the stereotypical, happy, Midwestern, childhood. Since his parents were older they died in his early 30s. He was a medic in WWII. He became a doctor and married and had two children by the time he was 35. He lead a happy life until his family was killed in a tragic car accident on his 40th birthday. Then things got much worse�
- Amberite or Chaotic (or both):
Although she will not tell him the name of his father, Flora insists he was from Shadow Earth. So, he is an Amberite.
- What is your connection to King Random (Either good or bad):
Minimal. Grim wasn�t brought into Amber by Benedict until the Patternfall War. Even then, Grim was only one of his commanders and not presented as Family. After Random was enthroned Grim was Benedict�s First in Command in Avalon and his only contact with Random was relaying information to him from Benedict. He was given many commendations by the Crown for his participation in the War but those were all formal/functionary affairs. He has no opinion of Random.
- Colors and Regular attire
Brown and Black.
He usually wears armor that it looks like it was pieced together from leftovers after a battle (which it was). He always carries he Black Blade. He won it from a Hell-maiden in the battle where Benedict lost his arm. It�s hilt is so white that it almost glows but the blade is so black that it almost looks like a dark, blade-shaped, hole. He also has a partial set of Trumps due to his position with Benedict.
