Devotion Love is
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniqutiy, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. (KJV)

Charity in the Bible can be translated as love.  So, in the King James Version, when it says "charity" it means "love".  The first description of love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 is "love suffereth long or is patient".  How is love patient?  Many times we do not have patience for anything.  We might sit behind the wheel of a car and get aggravated that the person in front of us is too slow.

However, how do we apply patience with someone we know?  How does showing patience show love to another person?  If showing patience shows love, then how do we show patience?  True love is willing to wait for the one we love.  When a person is not being who he or she needs to be, we should be patient and wait for them to change for the good.  Giving God time to help that person.

Many times we shun people because they are not perfect.  We tend to judge too much.  Yet, waiting and not showing resentment toward that person shows love.  It can edure evil and endure anthing that is not good.  Therefore, true loves is patience

My God bless you with this devotion today
