How is love kind? How do we show kindness? Love searches to be kind and not wait for a chance to be kind. Love will look for ways to be kind and that sometimes is hard to do in certain situations. When we love someone these things come naturally. However, it is a cammand from God to Love our neighbor as ourself. (Matthew 22:39) God also tells us to even Love our enemies. (Matthew 5:44) So does that mean we have to be kind to even our enemies? Yes it does and by doing so will heap coals of fire on his head.(Romans 12:20) What does that mean? Well, to me it means that you will be able to sleep tonight, but he will have a guitly conscience. When someone does you wrong, you should do good to them. (Romans 12:21)
So many times we try to fight fire with fire, but to fight a fire you need water. To fight unkindness you have to use kindness. So to love our enemies, is to be kind and to show kindness is to love. We should not only love the people who are not our enemies, but show love to our enemies and show kindness to all.
