| This is a beginner method for solving the Rubik's Cube. It's similar to the one in the booklet that comes with the cube, but I changed some things that I don't like about that method. Remember: It's very easy to solve a cube once you learn how. It requires some memorization, but not much actual thinking. If you want to get faster, you'll probably need to practice and/or memorize more. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Also, I'm working on a new beginner method that's easier to learn than my original one. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Preliminary Stuff | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Firstly, you need to think of the cube in terms of pieces rather than stickers. What do I mean by this? Look at a corner of your cube. Three stickers meet there, and clearly, those three stickers can't be moved away from each other. Move along one edge of your cube until you come to two other stickers that are similarly attached. Those two can't be separated either. A piece with three stickers is called a corner, and one with two stickers is called an edge. In the middle of each side, you'll find a center, which has only one sticker. All six centers are connected to each other through a little plastic piece inside the cube, so the centers can't be moved relative to each other. Because of this, corners and edges are placed relative to centers. Also, in order for a corner or edge to be "solved," all/both stickers on that corner/edge must be the same color as the center on the corresponding side. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This method assumes that your cube has white opposite yellow. If it doesn't, replace "yellow" with whatever is opposite white. If your cube doesn't have white, then pick a color to be "white". :) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
