| YOUR HAUNTING MEMORY | |||||||||||||||
| The memory of you does haunt me it plagues me night and day I need to get you out of my thoughts so I tried to think of ways I asked the wind to carry them off far into the heavens above but I think it changed direction it brought back to me, my thoughts of love I took them to a babbling brook and asked it to take them far down stream to get lost amongst the rocks and crags never again, betray me with my dreams Instead they just came flooding back they did not leave my heart so I went to the highest mountain top from me, they must now part I yelled out from that mountain high to hide my thoughts among the trees but I heard an echo, loud and clear as my thoughts came back to me I took my hopes and dreams at last to a firey, burning pit surely this could end them once and for all but alas, they would not quit Now I'm at a loss as what to do with these memories of you that haunt your caring eyes, your gentle touch the love we once had, does taunt My tears refuse to drown them my soul will not let them go I am left with them for eternity I will always love you, that I know ~PennyLynne~ |
