Note: OFSI = "Open Financial System Interface" and is the layer between the reports engine and financial system in use specified by ACTSYS32.mdb. The OFSI gives the reports engine a standard or consistent interface no matter what Accounting system the data is coming from as FRX can be used with many different Accounting systems not just those supplied by Great Plains... Also from Great Plains is the following: A note about specification sets - The FRxsys32.mdb file holds the specification sets. The *.f32 files hold the building blocks that make up the specification sets. For this reason, if you rename your specification set (e.g. called 'DEFAULT') and then copy the FRxrpts.f32 file from one SYSDATA directory (e.g. called 'TWOINC') to your SYSDATA directory, FRx will not recognise the specification set ('TWOINC') because it has not been setup in the FRxsys32.mdb file. Great Plains also supplied the table "FILE types and definitions" with the paragraph above. Back |
