Here we have a new order of NovaBus LFS-40s. Well not really new since they were first bought in 2001.These fast buses are powered by a 275hp Cummins ISC (C8.3E) engine hooked to a smooth and fast shifting Allison B400R ATEC of 5 gears. These buses are pure bullits when it comes to leaving a bus stop or traffic light.Like most buses in the summer times, these arent a hazard to traffic when they have a full load with the A/C running on arctic mode. here's a PHOTO of no.2148 reaching the end of the 6 route Downtown. Also included in the mix is Cleveland's first CNG fueled mainline 40 foot bus. These monsters are powered by a jet engine sounding Detroit Diesel Series 50G of 285hp. Transmission is a standard Cleveland ordered 4 gear Allison VR-731 ATEC. PHOTO of the ass end. check out the NJ Transit style tail light set up!! |
