Qualified All Age Dog
Well it's about time everyone meet "Nigel"...the black sheep of the family, so to speak.
My friends, Barb and Jerry Younglove, of Jaybar Labrador Retrievers asked me to watch a litter of puppies while they had to be away judging a Field Trial, and in doing so, I was given a puppy from the litter. That is how Nigel became a member of the Wynwood family of Goldens. Nigel is from a long line of very talented Field Trial competitors. His sire, FC-AFC RSK's Smooth Sailing "Cruise", acquired his Field Championship when he was just shy of 2 years old. His mom, "Roadie" was one of Younglove's breeding females and also from a long line of talented field dogs.
Nigel has taught me how to be a Field Trial competitor. He is a very biddable dog, tries hard to always cooperate, gives 100% and is a real team player. I am proud to say that on May 19th and 20th at the Wolverine Retriever Club Field Trial in Lum, MI., Nigel placed second in the Qualifying Stake to become an AKC Qualified All Age Dog. My very first Field Trial title. Thanks for the fun ride so far, Nigel. I look forward to competing with the "big dogs" in the advanced stakes.
Nigel completed his AKC Master Hunter Title in September 2007.
