Crafting is a very intricut skill. With many ways of leveling up, it's never easy to become high level. I here have provided you with some charts showing ways of leveling, each with a description.

While making leather, you will need to collect cow hides (found in abundant supply in the cow pen near Goblin Forest in Lumbridge). Bring these to a man named Tanner In Al Kharid (the desert east of Lumbridge). He will convert the hides to leather for 1gp each. Next, head further East in Al Kharid, to the crafting shop, and buy a needle and many spools or thread (1gp each). Use the needle with the leather, and (depending on your level) you can make leather gloves, boots, and leather armour. If you wish, you can sell the product at the nearby general store.

Clay working is a good thing to start crafting with, since its virtually free to make, and does not require a good level. To use clay, you must use a clay ore (found in dwarven mines or in rimmington) with water (duh!). this will create soft clay. Next you bring the soft clay to a potters wheel (one found in Barbarians Village) and form it into a pot, bowl, or pie dish. Next to the potters wheel, there is a furnace. Use the unfired object with the furnace to finish your product.

Making Jewellry always seemed like a bit of a waste of time to me. But, for those keeners, I've made you a guide anyways. First off, you need to have mined silver or gold nuggets (see mining guide). Now you must have smelted them into a gold, or silver bar using a furnace (located in Lumbridge and Falador). Here are a few guides on jewellry making. The first one is of levels needed to cut jewels.

To make an amulet, you'll need an amulet mould, or (if you're using silver) a holy symbol mould. If making a gold amulet, you can upgrade it by adding cut jewels to it (hence you'll have a saphire amulet, emerald amulet, etc.). To make the amulet, use a gold bar with a furnace, and select the amulet option, and (if you wish) add a jewel.
