My name is David Nava and I am a graphic designer from Anaheim, CA. I am a person who has a high passion in design technologies, art and illustration. One of my dreams is to master all the design technologies and become one of the TOP designers in the world, and now, I am working towards it. I have had my share of job experiences where my career has taken me in different paths. I have been a supervisor for restaurants at the Disneyland Resort. I have also taught preschool and school age for a company called Bright Horizons. Through these jobs I found my passion with graphic design by being able to share my creativity through designing fliers for special events, newletters, menus, websites, brochures, magazine covers and magazine spreads. I enjoy sharing my creative side and creating designs that are eye appealing and align with one’s vision.
The idea of humans as uniquely creative animals goes back at least as far as the ancient Greeks. Aristotle considered creativity to be a gift from the gods, something that resulted not during rational thought but when one was “bereft of his senses.” As society has become more scientific, so has its conception of creativity.
My creative roots began when I was young. Throughout my entire schooling, I have always participated in courses, events, and clubs that require creativity. Some of these include the following: Prom Committee, PAL, Scrapbooking Club, Photoshop, Fraternity, Photography, etc. With the involvement in all of these courses, events and clubs, one learns to express themselves thorugh creativity. I have learned so much through the years, that I still continue to participate in anything that involves creativity! This past year, my friends and I entered a holiday door decorating contest at work and we turned the door into a light up claw machine from Toy Story! Having all these creative minds work together to build something so entertaining can be so satysfying. By the way, in case you wanted to know, we won 1st place on that door decorating contest! Now at work, we have created a team that is involved in fun events and using our creative minds to share information with our co-workers in a creative way.
