Someone's Voice: It only happens once a year...and it is the biggest day for Super Smash Bros Melee...the biggest Pay Per View of the year! ...It's not the Superbowl...it's not Wrestlemania...THIS...IS...MEMORIAL CIVIL WAR.
(WITH THE SONG "TEAR AWAY" BY DROWNING POOL, MEMORIAL CIVIL WAR IS BEGINNING WITH THE INTRO MOVIE FROM THE SSBM GCN GAME! STILL SOME OF THE NEWCOMERS STILL TO COME ARE BLOCKED OUT. AMERICAN FIREWORKS ARE BLASTING EVERYWHERE IN THE ARENA!!! THE CROWD IS GOING WILD!!!)
Ryan: IT'S HERE AGAIN! MEMORIAL CIVIL WAR IS BACK!!! HELLO EVERYONE, I AM RYAN! And happy Memorial Day everyone!
Jeff: And I'm Jeff Manning! What a historical day we're gonna have here! This is the Grand-daddy of all the SSB Pay Per Views! And after this, since it's Memorial Day, I'm gonna drink lots of beer!
Ryan: That's St. Patrick's Day, Jeff. Oh well, go ahead. Well, we are live at Mute City! For one giant day! Today we have the first-ever Double Main Event! First, Link defends the SSB Championship against that evil king himself, Ganondorf! A rematch from 3 years ago! And that's how long we have not seen Ganondorf! Ganondorf proved to Link that he is not dead!
Jeff: Last week, I interviewed Ganondorf about the match! He does not care how long Link has had that title, which has been SEVEN whole months! He said he was gonna take that title from Link! He's gonna be the one to stop Link's long winning streak! Oh! And guess what else he said? He said HE WAS GONNA KILL LINK!!! He's gonna do it! He's gonna KILL Link! I can't wait!
Ryan: Unless Link wins the match, then he'll still be the SSB Champion. Well our other Main Event today is the "Match Of The Ages!" Donkey Kong verses Bowser! The 2 biggest giants in SSB are gonna brawl in the ring!
Jeff: They have really focused on each other ever since Bowser made his debut here in SSB! I wonder who will win?
Ryan: Who knows? Anything can happen today. The match could go either way.
Jeff: It will be a Classic!
Ryan: Well since it's Memorial Day, I'm almost done with school. Being a Freshman sucks!
Jeff: I'm out of College! You're just starting High School! HA!
Ryan: Whatever. And now it is time to watch some SSB!!!
Jeff: WHOO-HOO! The party begins now!
(Benifit's "Warp To World 69" is playing! The crowd is booing! Mario enters with his European title!) (new theme)
Ryan: I am going to have to ask everyone here to please welcome the man who created this great business, Mario! He created Memorial Civil War!
Jeff: Pay Per Views were created in January 2001, so this is the 2nd Memorial Civil War were having! It's May 2002!
Ryan: Well Mario became the first ever SSB Intercontinental Champion 2 months ago, but was beaten & humiliated by Yoshi when Mario only had that IC title for only a short 2 weeks!
Jeff: But Mario is very happy with his busines! He must have a happy announcement about today!
Mario: (has a microphone) (Mario is smiling) It's here again, Memorial Civil War! (The crowd goes wild!) This year's Memorial Civil War is gonna be bigger than 10 Wrestlemanias! Why? Well let's talk about today! First of all, this is the biggest SSB Pay Per View of the year! And we got 7 great matches here today! As we progress through each match today, we'll be traveling from arena to arena to arena! (crowd cheers) This is Mute City right now, correct? (crowd is cheering!) Well I'll be defending my European title soon. So I'll now announce who the No. 1 contender is! It will be.........Ice Climber Popo! (crowd is cheering!) A title rematch! Right here in Mute City! (crowd is cheering one more time)
Ryan: Mario beat Popo last month & became the new European Champion. Popo wanted a rematch so bad! He got the rematch!
Mario: Back to what I was saying, there is still more great stuff to talk about Memorial Civil War! Ever since the Super Smash Bros Melee Pay Per Views have begun, we have had great newcomers already! I mean you got Bowser! You got Ganondorf! You got Marth! And so many others already! All the newcomers that have debuted already will be here to make today excellent! And we still have more newcomers to debut today! Oh boy! It can never get any better than this...(SUDDENLY, THE LIGHTS GO OUT!)
Jeff: Uh oh!
(THE GHOSTBUSTERS THEME IS PLAYING! THE LIGHTS ARE FLASHING GREEN!)
Jeff: Ghostbusters?! What the heck?!
Ryan: Possibly a newcomer?
(Everyone hears the lyrics of the song. The lyrics go "There something strange...in the neighborhood...Who are you gonna call?...LUIGI!!!") (THE CROWD GOES NUTS!!!)
Jeff: HEY!!!
Ryan: MY GOD, IT'S-- IT'S LUIGI!!! (LUIGI IS MAKING HIS WAY TO THE RING WITH AN ANGRY FACE AT MARIO!)
Jeff: WHAT IS LUIGI DOING HERE?! I THOUGHT HE WAS FIRED!!! THE CROWD IS ON THEIR FEET!
Mario: WHA?!!!--LUIGI!!! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE!!! I FIRED YOU! GET OUT OF THE RING!
(LUIGI ENTERS THE RING, NODS "NO" AT MARIO, AND PUNCHES HIM DOWN!!! THE CROWD GOES NUTS!!!)
Jeff: YES!!! LUIGI IS BEATING UP MARIO!!!
Ryan: HE'S WHIPPING THE EUROPEAN TITLE ON MARIO'S BACK!
Jeff: NOW HE IS STOMPING ON MARIO! Now what is he doing? He's picking Mario up!
Ryan: Boy, the crowd loves it!
(Luigi picks Mario up and is talking trash to him! Mario gets back to his senses!)
Mario: NOW JUST A SECOND!!! I know what you want! And I'll announce it now! Ice Climber Popo...Get out of the building! You're not wrestling today! Because the new No. 1 contender for my European title is LUIGI! (crowd goes nuts!) Because I feel like kicking my brother's ass today! You know what, Luigi?! You & I hate each other so much, that we're gonna have this championship match.....RIGHT NOW!!! (Crowd goes nuts & chants for Luigi!)
(The Bell Rings!)
Ryan: Whoa! Mario verses Luigi! European title on the line!
Jeff: Here we go!
Ryan: Their Fireballs have collided!
Jeff: It's been such a long time since I've seen those Green Fireballs!
Ryan: Mario has Luigi! Falling Powerslam by Mario! That is a new move. Luigi is trying to fight back!
Jeff: Luigi is using his butt to attack?
Ryan: Mario with the Triple Strike on Luigi! (A repeatly)
Jeff: Boooo!
Ryan: Mario's got Luigi again! The Big Swing! Mario pins Luigi; he might have him here!
Crowd: 1...2.(Luigi kicks out!)
Ryan: Luigi kicked out and is on his feet!
Jeff: Luigi's going for a Headbutt!
Ryan: Mario countered it! Sweep attack!
Jeff: WHOA!!! AWESOME!
Ryan: Luigi with a new move! That's called the Green Missile!
Jeff: Mario with a cape attack on Luigi!
(Alarm rings!)
Ryan: There goes the alarm! That means the platform is about to rise and go through part of the Mute City track!
Jeff: There's Luigi's old move, the Running "Afraid Yet Brave" attack! Whoo-hoo!
Ryan: Luigi is not abord on the platform!
Jeff: Whoo-hoo!!! Look how fast the platform is going! Mario is on a ride in Disney World!
Ryan: Luigi is now on. Mario with a Super Jump Punch. Coins flew.
Jeff: Here comes the Green Missile! He missed!
(Platform Stops)
Ryan: Mario with a Karate Kick on Luigi. Luigi is trying to fight back still. This match seems to be all Mario.
Jeff: Huh? LOOK AT THIS! HERE COME THE F-ZERO RACERS! Look out Mario Bros!
(Both Mario Bros are on platforms as the F-Zero Racers go by)
Ryan: Mario is just punishing his brother! (Mario pins Luigi)
Crowd: 1...2..(Luigi kicks out!)
Ryan: Luigi is still in the game!
(Platform goes again)
Jeff: Luigi with a Headbutt! That is Mario's Finisher! He stole the move! Get that Green Shell, Luigi!
(Mario falls on the shell & they both go flying!)
Jeff: Damn! (Platform Stops)
Ryan: Luigi is trying to get that shell but it disappeared. Super Jump Punch by Mario!
Jeff: Look at all the pretty coins! Wow.
Ryan: YES! Luigi sent Mario flying! (crowd is cheering!) (Luigi pins Mario!)
Jeff: We could have a new champion here!
Crowd: 1! 2! (Mario kicks out!)
Ryan: Almost had Mario! Mario has shot a Fireball at Luigi! But Luigi went through it and scored a Karate Chop! They both go flying again!
(Platform goes again)
Jeff: Mario with a Missile Dropkick.
Ryan: Luigi's got Mario again! (crowd is cheering!)
(Platform Stops)
Ryan: Luigi trying to run through that pink fluid that heals F-Zero Racers.
Jeff: Speaking of the F-Zero Racers, HERE THEY COME! Mario hit Luigi with his cape!
Ryan: Whoa! One Racer went right between the Mario Bros!
Jeff: That was The Skull's car! I own F-Zero X so I know who is in which car! YES! Silver Neelsen's car hit both of the Mario Bros! YES! Whoo-hoo! I love this match!
Ryan: Luigi & Mario both go flying! Luigi now with a Dropkick!
(Platform goes again)
Ryan: Luigi's got Mario! He threw him!
Jeff: Both fell off the platform & they go flying from falling.
Ryan: Mario with a Mario Tornado! And now Mario is making his sign! The Headbutt is coming up! Mario's getting ready!
(Platform stops)
Jeff: He's gonna finish Luigi! Here it comes!
(LUIGI GRABS MARIO'S HEAD JUST IN TIME & SETS MARIO IN A SMALL PACKAGE!)
Ryan: WAIT A MINUTE! LUIGI WITH A SMALL PACKAGE!
Crowd: 1! 2! 3!
Jeff: HE GOT HIM! WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!
(Both men get up & Mario chases Luigi, but Luigi quickly gets out of the ring & runs away with the European title!)
Jeff: Here is your winner, and the new SSB Melee European Champion, LUIGI!!!
Ryan: Luigi is the new European Champion! He has left the arena! (Luigi is no longer in sight)
Jeff: What a quick victory for Luigi! If he is the new European Champion, then he is hired again! YES, Luigi is back!
(The camera is at the parking lot outside. Blastoise sees Luigi running away with the European title, but Luigi is getting to his car!)
Blastoise: Luigi, congradulations for becoming the new SSB European Champion! But what are you doing here?! We haven't seen you in months!
Luigi: That no good brother of mine got what he deserved! Look, I gotta leave! (gets into his Green Sedan, quickly accelerates, & leaves!)
Ryan: I am still shocked that Luigi is the new European Champion!
Jeff: I have never seen anyone counter Mario's Headbutt before!
Ryan: Well up next, we'll find out who wil be the first ever SSB Women's Champion! It's Peach verses Zelda! And it's coming up next!
(Commercial Break)

SSB MELEE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP- VS
Ryan: It was a long commercial break, but we are now at Fountain Of Dreams in Dream Land! Moments ago at Mute City, Luigi returned to SSB & got a quick victory over Mario! Luigi is the new SSB Melee European Champion! Well this is the first match for both of these women! Peach vs Zelda! Starting now!
(Super Mario Kart "Peach Victory" is playing! The crowd is booing as Peach enters!)
Jeff: BLAH! Terrible song!
Ryan: She thinks she's all sugar & spice, I guess.
Jeff: The following contest is scheduled for 1 stock and is for the SSB Melee Women's Championship! Making her way to the ring from the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach Toadstool! Whoo-hoo, Puppies!
Ryan: This match is about a fight, not puppies, Jeff.
Jeff: I know. Just bein' funny.
(The broadcast is being interrupted by the NWO! The logo is shown as the NWO Theme is playing! The crowd is cheering as Zelda enters!)
Jeff: And her opponent representing the NWO, from Hyrule Castle, Princess Zelda!
Ryan: These people are rootin' for Zelda.
Jeff: Cat Fight begins! Go Zelda!
(The Bell Rings!)
Jeff: Zelda with Magic! Din's Fire! But she missed.
Ryan: Peach has a vegetable. She missed, aiming at Zelda!
Jeff: Zelda with a magic throw!
Ryan: The match is now turning to Peach. Peach with an umbrella onto Zelda! Peach is now slapping Zelda!
Jeff: Din's Fire! YES! Now the fight begins! Both are attackin' each other!
Ryan: Peach won that one.
Jeff: Magic throw!
Ryan: Shut up, Jeff!
Jeff: No. Peach nearly hit Zelda with a Golf Club! She hit her with a Tennis Racket! Mario Tennis is coming soon to Gamecube!
Ryan: Zelda didn't fly very far.
Jeff: Then Peach got a net! Zelda is winning 15-love!
Ryan: Another fight in the ring!
Jeff: Peach used her ass to attack! (crowd is booing at Peach!)
Ryan: Peach sent Zelda flying! Peach threw a Pokeball!
Jeff: It's Togepi. What's he gonna do? I don't care since Peach & Zelda are all the way on the other side of the ring.
Ryan: Zelda with a kicking combo!
Jeff: Zelda flies again! Peach hit her with a Golf Club! FORE!!!
Ryan: She slapped Zelda hard! Zelda fell out of the ring! Game! Peach wins! (crowd is booing as Peach's theme plays)
Jeff: Here is your winner and the first ever SSB Melee Women's Champion, Princess Peach Toadstool!
Ryan: Peach has the title now, but for how long?
Jeff: We don't know.
(The camera is backstage. Pikachu is talking to Young Link. The crowd is booing at Pikachu.)
Pikachu: Hear that, Young Link? Ever since I started hanging out with Link, these people have turned on me! I'm not even a member of the NWO! Well they can't change my feelings! I'm feeling great! You see, everyone in the business has a match today, except you, Pichu, the Ice Climbers, and Ness! And I'm choosing you for my Tag Team Partener, Young Link! I want you to stay away from Pichu! Why? Because he is an annoying piece of trash! Having you with me will automatically be a victory and we will be the Tag Team Champions!
Young Link: Um...Okay. That sounds fine. I'll team up with you. Just for today. (Pikachu & Young Link leave)
(The camera then goes to Donkey Kong's locker room. The crowd goes nuts! Lakitu is interviewing Donkey Kong!)
Lakitu: Donkey Kong...we are getting closer & closer to the Double Main Event! And you will be facing the biggest man in the business: Bowser!
DK: The match between Donkey Kong and Bowser; A Match of the Ages; Probably the biggest match ever in the history of SSB Melee! You know for the 3 years I've been here in SSB Melee, I've accomplished the most out of all the superstars here in SSB Melee! When I've accomplished the most in the year of 2001, I never thought it would get any bigger when Donkey Kong had become the 2001 King Of The Ring! (crowd is cheering) I never thought it would get any bigger than Memorial Civil War 2001, when I whooped Fox McCloud's ass! I never thought it would get any bigger than that match! (crowd is still cheering) .....But it looks like there is a match better than the past...Today, Donkey Kong is going into the ring against probably the toughest opponent yet, Bowser. And all you Donkey Kong fans all know that I WILL RUN BOWSER DOWN!!! (crowd goes nuts!) Donkey Kong don't care how powerful he is; Donkey Kong don't care what he can do; Donkey Kong will become 2-0 in Memorial Civil War History! BANANAAA-SLAMMA!!! (leaves)
Ryan: Well that's coming up later today. Up next is Pikachu and we just heard: Young Link vs the Tag Team Champions, Captain Falcon & Samus Aran! Next!
