Information About Colleges
The system of colleges at Richard Roelofs University can be confusing to many.  The relationship between college and university is very similar to that used by such ancient institutions as Oxford and Cambridge Universities in England.  This relationship can be defined simply as:

Colleges:
-select their own undergraduate students
-provide accomodation, meals, common rooms, libraries, sports and social facilities and pastoral care for those students
-are responsible for students' tutorial teaching and welfare

The University:

-determines the content of the courses within which college teaching takes place
-organizes lectures and seminars
-provides a wide range of resources for teaching and learning in the form of libraries, laboratories, etc.
-selects and supervises graduate students, examines these
-sets and marks examinations
-awards degrees
