Ricky Rudd and the 21 Motorcraft Team tested at Daytona International Speedway, and they posted the fastest lap out of the three-day test session. The 21 Team's 47.753-second/188.470 mph lap came during the second session on Wednesday afternoon. While the Thursday afternoon times recorded during drafting were faster than Ricky's record-setting time and speed, the one that counts was his fastest lap on Thursday... and he was on the track alone. Ricky's rankings out of 45 drivers are as follows: Tuesday morning - 3rd; Tuesday afternoon - 4th; Wednesday morning - 3rd; Wednesday afternoon - 1st; Thursday morning - 2nd; and Thursday afternoon - 8th.
