Updates On Rachel

The following is an approximate timeline of some events that went on in Rachel's life since the taping for Road Rules Season 11 ended in April 2002.
(DISCLAIMER: Most of the information listed below is stuff that I found on the web, not all has been confirmed by Rachel herself.)

May/June 2002:
Rachel was in Jamaica with other RW/RR cast members filming the upcoming season of RW/RR Battle of the sexes. This show is said to air on MTV in January 2003.

July/August 2002:
This is right around the time when Rachel moved from Miami, FL to New York City, NY with Amy. According to some articles from the web, she also lives with Aneesa from Real World Chicago.

September/October 2002:
Rachel was spotted working as a cocktail waitress at a club/lounge called Coda in New York City. However, it has been confirmed that she no longer works there.

Thursday, September 5th:
Rachel joined other RW/RR cast members at an event held for about 300 students at Jacksonville State University (JSU) in Alabama. For more informtion on this event, check out the article from the JSU newspaper: http://www.jsu.edu/chanticleer/vol51/features/5103f-mtv.html

Monday, October 7th:
Rachel made an appearance at Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ to give a speech to a group of students.

Friday, October 11th:
Rachel was one of the panelists at an LGBT Community event held in New York City. Read the paragraph below for more information:

For The Children
On the Eve of Coming Out Day, come to Judson Church in the Village for an evening devoted to empowering Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Youth. The night is being billed as Leaders, Heroes and Quiet Champions: From All Walks Of Life-Making A Difference. LGBT community members from varied backgrounds will discuss being Out in various areas of their lives-whether it's at home, the office, at school, the political arena or the firehouse. They will talk about the challenges they've faced and successes they've achieved. Panelists will include: Stephen Kory Friedman, VP Strategic Partnerships at MTV, Rachel Robinson; cast member of MTV's Road Rules #11 (The Campus Crawl); firefighter Tom Ryan of Ladder Company 12; Mayor John H. Shields of Nyack, New York; and Martha E. Stark, Commissioner of Finance, New York City Department of Finance. They will be joined by moderator Jonathan Capehart, Deputy Editorial Page Editor of the New York Daily News. 6:30 p.m. at Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South.

Weekend of October 12th:
Rachel went back home to Miami, FL where she met up with fellow RR cast memebers, Sarah, Shane and Darrell. According to Sarah's on-line diary entry from October 17th, Rachel's mom is the "COOLEST". Read more from Sarah's diary entry below:

Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002 - 10:56 p.m. - The weekend in Miami was such a blast... I am blessed that Shane and Darrell were there, too. Unfortunately, Kendal couldn't come for reasons unbeknownst to me, but it was a wonderful two days nonetheless. I got to meet Rachel's family (her mom is absolutely the COOLEST) and they were all infinitely welcoming and generous. We went out on the town a couple of times and it made me miss my road trip with those kids more than ever. They are all so much fun to hang out with. Rach is my dancing buddy, Shane's my party animal, and Darrell is my savior. He keeps all the nutzos away from me on the dance floor while keeping up with me on the cocktails. They're all fucking rock stars. I really wish they would have shown more of our fun times. We get along so much better than they let on, but how entertaining would it be to have a group of great friends on a road trip together? Definitely not MTV-entertaining... maybe someone should pitch that to the PAX network. I'm sure it would fly.

Week of October 28th:
According to a poster on the MTV Road Rules 11 message board, Rachel was seen working out in the gym at the University of Miami.

Week of November 4th:
Rachel and Shane made an appearance at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. They were there for about 3 hours doing some double dare type game with the students.

Friday, November 8th:
Rachel and Irulan (from RW Las Vegas) did a milk chugging contest at the half-time of the Sacramento Kings vs Memphis Grizzlies basketball game.

Wednesday, November 13th:
Rachel was at New England College in New Hampshire with Theo from Real World Chicago. They spoke to the students and then signed autographs. According to a source from the college, Rachel was asking around about where the parties were and she attended a few of them.

Wednesday, Novemeber 27th:
Rachel went to Oregon to meet up with Amy and also meet her mother for the first time. She flew back to New York on Sunday, December 1st.

Saturday, December 7th:
Rachel will be in Ohio doing a charity event. She will be joined by Teck & Ruthie from Real World Hawaii, and Eric Neiss from Real World New York (Season 1).

Saturday, December 14th:
Amy will be coming to New York to visit and spend the holidays with Rachel. FYI -- Amy does not currently live in New York with Rachel. She is back in Miami to finish up school. However, she does spend more time in New York with Rachel than she does in Miami and she plans on moving to New York once she is finished with school.
