For all of you interested in
what we do for the younger members of the town, Rugby Phoenix is running Come and Play sessions specifically targeted at Boys and Girls from
11-16 years of age.
From complete beginners,
these players will learn the skills of volleyball and have the option, as
with most of our previous junior members, to play in regional and national
competitions.
They take place every Wednesday at the new Sports Hall
at Harris School between 7pm and 8pm. Cost is only £2.00
We have a number of EVA
qualified coaches who are all CRB checked through the English Volleyball
Association, with the club additionally having a written child protection
policy. The Club follows the Volleyball England child protection guidelines
and has adopted the Volleyball England Child Protection Policy.

In recognition of the
standards set by Rugby Phoenix, they have been awarded Volley 1 (Clubmark)
status, currently the only volleyball club in Warwickshire to attain such a
level.
Volley 123 is the Club
accreditation scheme for volleyball in England. Volley 123 is designed to
recognise and reward clubs that stand apart from the rest in terms of good
practice. A club that achieves accreditation will be a mark of a quality
club that is equitable, inclusive, friendly, well-run and most importantly
safe. With Volley 1 accreditation your club also receives the prestigious
Sport England Clubmark award.
There are 4 accreditation
awards: Side Out Accreditation (for a Club that does not cater for juniors);
Volley 1; Volley 2; and Volley 3.
Clubmark accreditation is
awarded to clubs that comply with minimum operating standards in four areas: The
playing programme;
Duty of care and child protection;
Sports equity and ethics;
Club management.
As we build up the
portfolio of information relating to the 4 key areas of the Volley 1 (Clubmark)
award, the documents will be added to each section.

Rugby Phoenix Volleyball Club offers local organisations and individuals the
opportunity to promote their business by sponsoring the club, individual
players or teams.
Sponsorship will provide you with many opportunities to advertise your
corporate and product brands to a large audience of mostly young and dynamic
people not only within the Rugby area but also the West Midlands via our
league exposure and Nationally via our attendance at National competitions
and tournaments sanctioned by the English Volleyball Association, the
national governing body for Volleyball. All matches are reported in the
sports sections of the local newspapers with additional coverage being
offered by Rugby Radio's results service.
The Club is based at the
Griffin Sports Centre, Lawrence Sheriff School and has Men's and Women's
teams competing within the West Midlands regional league structure. It also
has a growing number of junior players who compete in various tournaments
and who's members play in the Women's 1st team.
All of the Clubs players
are seeking sponsorship to help support the team and the overall development
of the sport. Your valued sponsorship will help cover the costs of team kit,
league and cup entry, coaching, practice hall costs and training equipment.
Forming a partnership with
volleyball is an opportunity for companies to take a positive and important
step of expanding their horizons and enhancing their position in a variety
of markets.

sponsoring Rugby Phoenix Volleyball Club, please see the attached
sponsorship document or contact
Aneel Khanna (Club Chairperson) who will be pleased to discuss the
