Uintah High School also offers a jazz band! This group is audition only, and there are usually nineteen to twenty-one spots available. This group is Uintah Highschool's premeire group of talented young musicians, and is formatted in the style of, "big band", four trumpets, four trombones, five saxophones, a piano, a drum kit, a guitar, a bassist, a vibrophone, and a vocalist. The band plays classic jazz tunes as well as some more modern pieces. This group plays many gigs for the Uintah Basin community, as well as attending jazz festivals and competitions. Finally, Uintah High School has its own marching band! This group is not audition only, but student responsibility and effort are required to continue in the group. This group plays throughout the summer at parades, along with practicing their show which they play at football games and competitions throughout the school year. This group is only active in the summer and fall, and they attend many competitions. Join marching band today!

This band plays the same pieces as the concert band, and performs with the concert band. However, this band also plays contemporary pieces written for percussion ensembles.
