We have served freshly prepared Italian meals to thousands of families since 1964; doing so out of a beautifully crafted and historical 1902 storefront in Laguna Beach, California.
Our restaurant has been in the Tavolo family since the beginning; today Leonard & Sherri Tavolo have taken over this amazing family legacy. So let us tell you more about the Pasta Amore story!
Leonard’s parents were Italian immigrants and they raised him in the Little Italy section of New York City. His parents owned a small restaurant there, then relocated to Southern California; so he basically has been raised with restaurants in his blood. Today, most of Pasta Amore’s scrumptious recipes that appear on our menu were passed down from generation to generation in the Tavolo family.
Our other owner Sherri was raised in Italy – enjoying life in the Tuscany region. She attended culinary school in the United States, mastering many different culinary techniques. Today, she brings to us the Italian classics, yet enjoys twisting it up with a bit of Tuscany combined with a little bit of Americana to create the amazing menu here at Pasta Amore!
