Our 'Heirloom' range of storage and work boxes are hand made to your requirements from a combination of solid oak veneer exteriors and MDF inside. Creating a beautiful and practical piece of furniture to compliment your work.

You can choose to have a workbox with a lifting lid compartment on top & a sliding tray holding all your 'every day' bits and pieces, with any number or combination of drawer sizes & options built in. Alternatively you can choose our 'storage box' with a fixed lid to use as a table with the drawers & options you require built in.

Ideal as a matching pair or as individual items, the choice is yours. You tell us what you want from our list of options & we will make and send it to you.

Supplied ready assembled as standard in a natural oak hand waxed finish, but can be supplied in either light or dark oak finish at extra cost.

The floor space required is approximately 18" wide x 12" front to back. The height will vary with type and number of drawers and options chosen e.g. our large special offer box featured on the ordering guide is approximately 30 3/4" high (3rd image below) whereas the basic workbox (1st image below) is approximately 5" high.

We manufacture 3 different drawer sizes: small 2 3/8", medium 4", & large 8". The sizes are the height of the front face of the drawer.

Drawers fitted with a bobbin storage insert will take a maximum of 160 fully wound bobbins per drawer, that's 5 in each compartment, and there are 32 compartments to a drawer.

Drawers fitted with a skein storage insert will take approximately 120 skeins or 'stitch bows' per drawer, that's 15 in each compartment, and there are 8 compartments to a drawer.

'Work Box'

The 'Work Box' has a lifting lid with a sliding tray and storage compartment below, to which can be added your choice of drawers and options.

'Storage Box'

A 'Storage Box' has a fixed top with your choice of drawers and options added.

You can choose to have Skein or Bobbin storage fitted into either small or medium sized drawers.

A solid oak plinth can be fixed to the base of the box to add protection and elegance. Or you may choose to have a solid oak stand to mount he box on at the preferred working height next to your work place. The box can easily be lifted off to stand on your worktable.

A removable padded insert can be fitted into the lid of your box to personalise it with your own work.

Handles can be fitted on the sides of the box to assist with moving it around.

Solid oak knobs can be fitted, rather than finger pulls.

Castors can be fitted to any box with a plinth to aid moving.
