Sinadya - Roxas City's Fiesta
Usually a four-day festivity held every 1st week of December and celebrated in honor of the city's Patroness- Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Sinadya is Roxas City's most colorful event. Marked with street dancing and nostalgic beating of drums for the young, the activity also features folk dances and songs for the old in reminiscing the glorious past. Sinadya, which means "merry- making", is the city's way of thanksgiving in acknowledging all the blessings received through Mother Mary's divine interventions.
Halaran Festival
A provincewide affair, Halaran is a Capiznon's way of sharing the bounty of harvest (harvest time usually comes in October). A celebration of gaiety and offering, Halaran is an oppurtune time to witness and feel the warmth of Capize�o Hospitality known all over. First celebrated in 1975, the festival is now a major activity that features the province's aspirations in the past, present and future. A grand parade, " Kasaysayan sang Capiz ", is an attraction that recalls all the various regime that occupied certain chapters of Capiz's history.
