Here we will keep up to date with volunteer opportunities available within our school. Our programs at Rowlett Elementary have been so successful because of parents ready and willing to become involved.  Thanks for all you do.

Classroom volunteers

These volunteers regularly assist teachers and staff, usually on a once a week basis. They are needed to help will filing of student papers into Tuesday folders, cutting, pasting, making booklets, working on bulletin boards and general assistance for the teachers. 

 

Room mothers and assistant room moms

This is a volunteer position that revolves around special events in the classroom. Room Moms and assistants coordinate class parties.  In addition, supply volunteers are needed and used. 

 

Reading mentors

These volunteers help by taking time to sit and read with children. 

 

Camp parents

These volunteers help in the fundraising efforts for the 5th grade camp each year.  Included in these activities are selling soft drinks during Friday lunch hours, selling candy after school, processing candy gram orders, planning of special events.
