Recent Events

Every year the club puts together crews to race in regattas across the country. You do not have to be an experienced rower to gain a place in a crew, and race. This year we are aiming to send at least five crews to various regattas. Races are always a good laugh for both competitors and spectators. Check out the events calendar to see some of the races we will be attending. The club also goes to watch the more professional rowers racing.

Recently we went to watch the Olympic team on their return from Sydney, including 5 times Gold Medalist Stephen Redgrave, Matthew Pinsent, Brunel's very own James Cracknell and Tim Foster (also an ex-Brunel student!). It was amazing to see these guys rowing, the high standard was incredible, and it was even better to meet a couple of them in person!

More trips like this are planned throughout the year for the whole rowing club to come and enjoy.
