This digital library is intended to provide websites that contain quality audio and video information on the Presidents of the United States. The "Hall of Presidents" contains pictures and short biographical information. Each individual president has his own webpage with direct links to information about him. Also, there is an index of the materials used in this digital library. It is intended for users of all ages. However, as a public library worker, I often receive requests to find information on U.S. Presidents. And it is important to provide a student with multimedia formats in order to expose him/her to different ways and methods of learning.
When you read a speech that a President has made, his words can have an impact, but when you listen and/or watch a president while making a speech it can be a more powerful experience. There is information from primary and secondary sources. The website has been organized in an easy to follow format that students can navigate. The selection criteria of materials are as follows: currency (of website), historical significance, expertise (of historian), accuracy, and reliability.
