Hard training, easy combat; easy training, hard combat. - Marshal Suvorov, Russian General
FOUR YEARS AGO an acquaintance of mine (Kalei Wahine, flanker for US National Team in '97) inspired me to try rugby. Long story short, I got hooked. Before moving to Boston, I was President and a member of: San Francisco Golden Gate Women's RFC I played a season with Beantown Women's Rugby Club. Beantown is the oldest women's rugby club in the country. Playing for a former national champion, and with Eagle players, boosted my rugby skills. It also busted my shoulder. My third shoulder injury has declared an end to my rugby career. Rugby is not just a sport, it is a lifestyle.

"You mean the 'backline' isn't just a part of the body? What's a scrum? Why do forwards have more tattoos? Why do backs wear more makeup? How come when you score, you teammates only say 'Nice try?' Someone on the team is called a 'Hooker?' (teehee) And I still don't know the difference between rucking and mauling."
