Welcome to Round Hill Working Kelpie and Australian Cattle Dog Stud located in the Riverina Region of NSW, Australia. We are located approx 6 hours drive west of Sydney and 6 hours north of Melbourne.
We have been involved with the training and breeding of working dogs for over 10 years. Owning and running a Livestock contracting business saw the requirement for a highly intelligent, adaptable and all round working dog. This need led to the purchase of a purebred black and tan Working Kelpie. As the interest for working dogs grew an Australian Cattle Dog bitch joined the team.
As work commitments changed, the number of dogs increased and the establishment of the Round Hill prefix was formed. The Round Hill name was derived from a family owned and operated property that has been in operation since 1980.
Presently we have a small number of dogs that are used on the family farm.
The dogs are required to work in a variety of situations from the paddock to yards, in the shed, loading trucks and the saleyards. They also compete in Yard, Utility and Arena Trials.
With emphasis on working ability and temperament, our dogs have been selected for sound type, natural working ability, stamina and aptitude for all round work.
