ROUGHIN' IT: NEW YORK CITY
EPISODE 4
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: "STREET SMARTS"

The next day, the two tribes met up in a trash filled alleyway for another Immunity Challenge. Nick took back the Immunity Idol from the Bronx Tribe and placed it back on the pedestal. He then explained the challenge to them. It was going to be a test of strategy and knowledge of New York City. All 6 players from each team will sit on benches of their tribe's color. After each question, the tribes were given 10 second to deliberate together to come up with an answer and write it down on a piece of paper. After 10 seconds, both tribes show their answer. If a tribe answers correctly, they get to choose a member from the OPPOSITE team to eliminate from the challenge. The tribe with at least one person still sitting on the bench wins Immunity. Due to having a one person advantage, Seth voluntarily sat out for Bronx.

The first question was of the true/false variety about the history of the Statue of Liberty. Both tribes answered correctly. Bronx went first by eliminating their tribe leader, Robin, while Queens chose to take out Jacob of Bronx. The next question was multiple-choice about the racial population of the city. Once again, both tribes got it right and another round of eliminations began as Leigh and Micha were both eliminated. The next question had the same result as Danielle P. and Adam were taken out. On a tough question about the Empire State Building, Bronx faltered by answering the question wrong, letting Queens take a slight advantage. They deliberated and decided to eliminate Jerroth. The next question was a mind bender as January and Danielle S. worked hard together to try to save themselves. They did manage to get the question correct as well as Queens. The girls went after Naomi first, while Queens took out Danielle. With January alone to take on an odd tag-team of Roy and Carol, the next question was asked about the number of boats that come into New York Harbor in a day. January surprisingly got the question right to her relief, and to the Bronx tribe's delight, Roy and Carol guessed wrong. January decided to take out Carol, leaving it a showdown between her and Roy for Immunity. After some playful taunting from Roy, the question was asked. Both got it right as it was onto a tie-breaker question. The answer is a number and the person who answered the number closest to the real number without going over, won Immunity for their tribe. The question was asked: “How many total floors does the Empire State Building have?” Both quickly thought and wrote down a number in this winner take all showdown. Both revealed their answers…106 for January and 101 for Roy. The answer was 103. Roy slammed down his notebook and pen and shouted with his tribemates as they broke Bronx’s winning streak and won Immunity.
