DAY 2: BRONX IN PAIN
After a hard and long night's work at building a sturdy shelter over their campground, most of the Bronx Tribe woke up with severe back pain from sleeping on the hard concrete. As they stretched to ease the pain, they realized that they were in desperate need of any form of comfort.
JACOB COLLINS -- History Professor: "I think we made the right decision to make shelter last night instead of searching for matresses. Though our backs are really hurting right now, we made a good choice. Without shelter, we would get hypothermia and we would be in bad shape. Still, we're going to get on the lookout for matresses and sofas today."
TEMPERS RISE AT QUEENS AND BROOKLYN
Over at the Queens camp, tensions started to rise. Robin was trying to assign jobs for the day, such as finding containers to put water in, finding some form of shelter, and finding something to eat. A drained and hungry Carol refused to take part in the chores. This didn't set well with the dance choreographer as she confronted Carol. Robin started yelling while Carol tried to remain calm while being called lazy and freeloader. Robin eventually walked off and left Carol at the campsite.
ROBIN SHUBERT -- Dance Choreographer: "There are only two things I can say about Carol right now. They are that she is fat and she is lazy. She decides that she is going to just sit around camp and not do anything because she's hungry? We're all hungry! Get over it!
"
At Brooklyn, things were just as ugly as Evelyn continues her rants and raves about her hunger and her fatigue. After minutes of this, Naomi is set off and verbally attacks the complainsome woman. Heated words are exchanged between them as Donald and Seth step between them. The two almost come to blows, but the men hold the two catty women back and prevent this from becoming similar to a Jerry Springer episode. A few more words are exchanged between the two combattants before Donald invites Naomi to help fetch water. Peace was finally restored at camp.
NAOMI TANNER -- Electrician:"I can't stand that woman. Always something wrong with her that she has to announce to the whole ****ing world. This what Roughin' It is. Can't handle it? Then go the Hell home!"
