ROTARACT CLUB

KHALSA COLLEGE

AMRITSAR

Rotaract is an international program for young men and women in the age group of  18 to 30 who believe they can make a difference. Rotaract club provide an opportunity for young adults to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities and to promote better relations between people worldwide through a framework of friendship.

Rotaract was founded in 1968 by Rotary International, a worldwide association of service-minded business and professional leaders. Today there are over 6,000 Rotary sponsored Rotaract clubs with more than 130,000 members in some 150 countries around the world. Clubs are either community-based or university-based.

Rotaractors work hard, but they believe in having a good time. They hold camping trips, inter-club visits, dances, cultural festivals, special lectures, sporting events, and more. Sometimes these activities are designed to raise money for a club service project. Whatever they do, Rotaractors know how to have fun, make friends and make the world a better place.

Rotaract Club Khalsa College was started in 1988-89 by the efforts of Rotarian Shyam Sunder Bhatia & former Principal of Khalsa College Prof.Shergill ji. The Ist President of the club was Mantej Singh. The Club was chartered in July 2000 under then President Rtr. Rohit Sharma. For more about past presidents, visit the online gallery.
