DRR's MESSAGE

Distt. Theme 2004-05
"WIDE HORIZONS"
For the year 2004-05 the DRR's District
Theme is Wide Vision,
Wide Thinking, Wide Relationship.
We look forward that you widen your horizons and think globally,
be aware of the problems being faced by the poor and underprivileged.
Our youth must carry forward the vision to build this planet a better
place.
WIDE VISION :- View everything from a wider angle,
in other words overview the things. Don't adhere to sub-parts but
the whole part. Like we feel delighted to see water drops but what
if the same drops from huge sea, which gives coolness, strength to
go together and add value.
WIDE RELATION SHIP :- We are born with few relationship in our
family. Growing up we go on adding more relations which provide
us with more wider arena of thinking, precuring, exposure &
sense of giving.
WIDE THINKING :- Having wider horizon, more relations, here comes
wider thinking. Thinking of others instead of ourselves, Rising
above the level of selfishness by realizing other's needs.
How often do you get
the opportunity to join a worldwide network of 18 to 30 year olds?
When you choose to join a local Rotaract Club, you not only make
close ties with young people in your local community, but with a
global community of 1,77,000 Rotaractors in 159 countries around
the world! With your new friends you have the change to enjoy social
activities ranging from black tie balls to beach side barbeques!
If you like a bit more adrenalin, Rotaractors also like to try new
and adventurous outdoor activities. Rotaract offers its members
further opportunities to enhance their professional skills through
positions such as Professional Development Director and Club President
that you can work towards. There are also opportunities to help
coordinate and lead camps such as the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards,
offering you a world of experience. Speaking of the world, why not
go and see some of it? Rotaractors get the chance to participate
in Group Study Exchanges with our overseas friends. If you are traveling
alone, one call to a local Rotaract Club will give you friendly
and personal insight into the local area. All Rotaract clubs participate
in Community Service projects. We raise money for needy individuals
and organizations in our community. Your local Rotaract Club is
already planning how it can help your local community be a better
place to live during the next year. If all this sounds good, your
local club wants to meet YOU. Come along to a Rotaract club meeting
and open yourself up to a world of fun! If you are not able to find
any club than contact our representative to be a part of this movement.
