Rotary awards function (The Tribune..>>>):
Ludhiana, July 3: Rajat Deep Kaur, District Rotaract Representative,
Rotary International District 3070, was adjudged the Best
DRR by Rotary International Director PDG Sushil Gupta
at the Annual award function of Rotary International District
3070 in Hoshiarpur. Rajat Deep Kaur, who has headed the
young wing (age 18 to 30) of Rotary for the year 2003-04,
is from Ludhiana. She was the only girl DRR from South
Asian countries and first-ever DRR from Ludhiana. The
former general secretary of Rotaract Club-Government College
for Women informed that 19 delegates attended the Multi
district convention of South Asian countries at Mahbleshwar
under her leadership. Two rotaractors from district visited
Dubai, Hong Kong and Australia as goodwill messengers.
A special program under the Rotary Youth Leadership awards
was organized at Amritsar in which 194 delegates learned
the technique of leadership. New Rotaract leader DRR Rtr.
Dr. Mandeep Pujara from Jandiala Guru (Amritsar) took
the charge of the district from her on July 1, and Rtr.
Rajan Rai from Phagwara elected as DRR (Elect) for year
2005-2006.

Host Club: Rotaract Pathankot Midtown. It was attended by
more than 100 participants from
the 9 participating clubs and District Cabinet.

- Seminar on Polio Plus held on Sunday
3rd Oct'2004 at Hotel President Jalandhar.
Host Club: Rotary Jalandhar East

- Pulse Polio Campaign-the Final Push
to eradicate Polio held all over the District on 10th October'2004.The
different clubs of the district took part in the project
in their respective cities and towns.

- R.I Distt 3070 Inter City Cultural
Meet-"Kshitij" held
at Amritsar on 7th Nov'2004. More than 150 delegates participated.

Youth Exchange team from R.I Distt 3240 led by Rtr. Dharmendra
Gangwade accompanied by DRCC R.I Distt.3240 -Rtn. Pankaj.
The team comprised of 7 members from different Rotaract
clubs of Mumbai region and went across the Wagah border
to Pakistan on the invitation of Rotaract Lahore Garrison-R.I

Ludhiana held on 27th Feb'2005. On the occasion Rtr. Rahul
Satyavan [Rotaract Pathankot] declared as DRR (Nominee)
