Its not like that Dom. Brian defended himself.

You can shut the fuck up, no one was talking to you.

Stop Dom.

I cant believe you would take the side of a cop, who lied about being a cop so he could get in your pants, over your own damn brother.

Mia looked like someone had slapped her.  She hadnt told Dom they had been together, so she could only come to one conclusion.  She looked over at me standing in the doorway with a betrayed look.  I knew I didnt tell him, but she must have assumed I did.  I didnt tell him Mia, I swear.

No, she didnt tell me.  I overheard you and the cop here talking about it before we found out what he was.  At the time it didnt bother me so much, I mean besides the fact that youre my sister, but now it just infuriates me.  He shot a death look at Brian.

Well how bout I make you even more mad? She said.  She took in a deep breath, and I knew what she was going to say.  She had told me the night before.  Im pregnant.  She looked poignantly at Brian and repeated herself.  Im pregnant.

*Hold on
Hold on to yourself
You know that only time will tell*

The garage exploded with the sound of Dom yelling.  Youre what?!?  He screamed.  How the fuck could you be so stupid?!?

Mia looked like she was going to cry, and believe me, she did, but for a moment she held it in, faced her seemingly unfeeling brother and spat in his face.  Then she lifted her head up, and said.  Dont you ever call me stupid Dominic Toretto, you know better.  Then she broke down.  She ran to me and buried her face in my shoulder, which was hard because Im smaller than her.  I assisted her into the office, and sat her in the office chair.  I came back to shut the door, and found the garage empty except for Dom who was standing still as stone, and Brian who was walking towards the office.

Youre not seeing her. I told him.

Letty, I just want a minute.

You can have a minute, tomorrow when shes calmed down. And with that, I shut the door in his face and returned to aid my bawling friend as she had once helped me, one night in Mexico that felt like it was years before.
