| A safe environment in which our children can play is uppermost in our aims as a pre-school playgroup for accompanied children. The equipment we use is thoroughly checked before we put it into the session, and we maintain all our toys to the highest standard. |
| At the toddler group we keep our toys and games in rotation based on variation of play in order to keep the children interested in coming back for more each week. Our play is often themed, such as at Hallowe'en, Christmas or 'the seasons', and our artistic activities often include raw materials brought in by the mums themselves. We are always open to suggestion! |
| Each week we cordon off a section of the hall as a 'quiet spot' in which younger babies can play safely, away from the sometimes unwanted attention of older, nosier children. This area is padded out with safety mats and a rotation of cuddly animals and toys geared specifically for this age group provide mental and physical stimulation. This is under the supervision of the carer. |
