13th February 2002 - Rose Feels Like A Failure

Rose still feels like a failure after letting the relationship slip away - because she was sick of bomb threats. Rose broke up with Manson a year ago after a two-year engagement, and she's now stepping out with Frank Zappa's son Ahmet. She says, "Brian was charming and sweet and soft, but he'd get bomb threats. I was always on guard. I just got tired. In that way I do feel a bit of a failure." Zappa started dating Rose last summer after approaching her in a Hollywood burrito shop.

25th January 2002 - Rose Gears Up For Hooker Role

Rose is set to make a return to movie screens - as a high-priced hooker. Rose, who once dated Marilyn Manson, will star in actor and director John Shea's The Junkie Priest, alongside former New Kids On The Block star Donnie Wahlberg - who will play a monk. Shea, who wrote the screenplay, says of the brunette beauty, "She has all the superficial glamour that a high-priced hooker has, but she also has all the vulnerability the role requires." He adds of the film, "It's a dark biography of a Franciscan Monk who, in the early '60s, was the first to start a halfway house for hookers on the streets of New York. The monks were forbidden to work with women back then, so he broke rules trying to save these lives." The project will be a re-teaming for Donnie Wahlberg and Rose, who co-starred in Shea's 1998 award-winning indie flick Southie.

12th June 2001 - Rose Set To Replace Shannen

Rose McGowan is reportedly in negotiations to replace Shannen Doherty on the WB's Charmed according to Variety. Doherty, who directed the season finale, will not be returning next season and the show that's based around a trio of witch sisters is looking to bring in Rose as the new third sister. Charmed has been a ratings winner for the young network, coming in as its second-highest-rated show. The official reason for Shannen's departure is to pursue other opportunities, though scuttlebut has it that her co-stars, Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs, were not too unhappy to see the famously hot-tempered actress leave.
