| Because of the heat issues and the fact that the Power Wagon didn't need to go 15MPH, I swapped out the old motor with a new 36 volt 800watt. The new motor has a gear box built into the front housing of the motor. This gives the motor a gear ratio of 60:9 making the motor more efficient with tons more torque than before. No worries of stalling the motor now. I also bought a new sprocket and chain to match the #420 sprocket on the motor. With the geared motor and new sprocket, the Power Wagon went a speedy 4MPH. Luckly I also bought a smaller (more top speed) drive sprocket for a little more speed. The smaller 40 tooth sprocket carries the wagon to 6 MPH. I like this speed the best because it allows you to ride the cart faster than people can walk. |
