LATE MRS. HAWKINS - The funeral ook place at the Abbey on Christmas Eve of Mrs. Emily Hawkins, widow of Mr. William Hawkins, who was for 26 years the licensee of the Plough Inn. She was aged 78. The vicar officiated, and the mourners were Mr. W. Hawkins (son), Mrs. P. Whichello, Mrs. G. Coombes, Mrs. J. Franklin, Mrs. T. Collins and Mrs. J. Cane (daughters), Messrs. P. Whichello, G. Coombes, J. Franklin, T. Collins, and J. Cane (sons-in-law), Mrs. W. Hawkins (daughter-in-law), Billie (grandson), Mr. & Mrs. Charles Greenaway (brother and sister-in-law) and Mrs. Goddard (neice).
