The County of Evening Water contains several Baronies centred on Vancouver, British Columbia, on the west coast of the Kingdom of Northern Ice.
This City has always been a City of Radicals ever since its inception into the Canadian Confederation. It was never taken
seriously by the Eastern Delegates, so it has always had Radical Unseelie Ranters who felt they voices were never heard.
This continued even into the Modern day when the Sidhe came back in 1969. The Accordance War was barely felt out West as no
one figured there was anything worth fighting for here, except groups of out of the way Freeholds that Housed a bunch of
Surley Unseelie Whiners who never got their Way. Never did they realize that the descendants of the Troll and Knocker Miners
from the Gold Rush Era had hid so much from the returning Nobles. The Glamour and "Bedlam" that resulted from this "Gold
Fever" way back then had allowed for incredible amounts of creation in the Dreaming. But alot had been forgotten and lost
since then. So much remains to be rediscovered in the nooks and crannies by the Modern day Changeling.
In 1978, the first Sidhe Noble arrived in Vancouver in the form of a Little Girl, Named Sasha Eveningwater. Sained into
House Eulined by the Kingdom of Storms (as it was the closest location with a Sidhe Presence), she was Mentored by the Troll
Tribes and Knocker Unions up here (as she was originally found by them). Her very Presence brought new possiblites to this
side of the Kingdom of Ice that included with the opening up of Expo 86' and the SkyTrain Rails; putting Vancouver on the
Map as more than just a shipping lane along the West Coast. Unfortunately Expo was built on a Site where the Land was
poisoned, and with the infusion of Glamour from this Site, a Darkness awoke and it filled the air along with Possibilty,
dark possibility. It was literally Pandora's Box, and Eveningwater unintentionally became Pandora.

The County of the Evening Water has three Baronies within: Highwater consists of both Vancouver, West Vancouver and North
Vancouver; Midwater consists of New Westminster, Burnaby and Coquitlam; and Farwater consists of Surrey, Whiterock, Delta,
Ladner and Cloverdale.
Vancouver was now a city of contention. Alot of Glamour was coming into Vancouver through its economic prosperity, and the
Queen knew that it could be used to further Strengthen the Kingdom. So the West was given a Voice in an Eastern appointed
Duke. With this "mild" form of Ravanging by the Kingdom for the Kingdom, the County was not able to support itself and the
"Dark" grew stronger. It coaleced and came into our world manifesting as emotions of Control and Violence within the City.
It found a "home" in the Moors of Richmond with the "Baron" there, a Sidhe of "House Balor."
This "Treatment" was too much for Eveningwater. The East would not understand the needs of the West, they only find use here
when it suited their needs. So she gathered her forces and allies where she could. With the help of the Trolls and Knockers,
they now search for the Lost Glamour, hoping to take back the Western Duchy for the West- before even this Glamour of the
Budding Film Industry is taken from them.
Recently the Baron of Midwater was destroyed by an unknown force and his eldest prodigal son was in Line to inherit the Barony and its problems. Since a time before memory the Barony has slowly been drained of its Glamour, the stongest Node of which has been in New Westminster. During the night of his inauguration, the Heir went missing. To make matters worse, a "Spider-Queen" appeared and warned all those present of their demise. Where ever this creature walked she left webs of pure Banality. She warned that any who stayed would be doomed. Thus, the Countess closed the Barony off to all Changelings, and
posted Guards on it's Borders. A few nights later, on the night of the new moon, witnessed by a Sluagh, Redcap and two Trolls, the Manor rose from the water, became entangled in a web like structure, and imploded into itself, lost forever. The Baron-to-be has yet to be found.
With the loss of the Manor, all hope to finding the missing Baron went with
it. Midwater was closed off to all Changelings, under the threat that it
had a Strange Aura of Banality that surrounded it. Guards were posted along
it's borders, all Trods were closed off to it, and its name was changed to
Midguard.
Then came the riots that tore through the mundane World of the Sleepers.
Violence and Choas erupted through the streets, and both Humans and Creatures of the Night fought each other openly, in Alleyways and Street Corners. The Police were completely blindsided by how organized the Riot really was, almost like there was a leading hand behind it all. But eventually just like any Creature of Chaos, with no real structure, the Riots dispersed into the Ether. But in the Maelstrom, two creatures awoke within the Dreaming. One of Structure, Order and Banality. Almost birthed by a need to suppress the Anger brought on by the Riots. The other, more menacing, that had awaited this moment to spread its cancer over the Land. Where ever its Shadowed Form touched, it left nothing but corruption and decay. Empowered by Nightmares drawn from the Sons of Adam and the Daughters of Eve, it gave Birth to the Minions. Living Nightmares that spead its Darkness into the Land.
The Countess was immediately stricken ill as the Land that she was so
closely connected to began to wither and Die. Here, her most loyal Knights
and Thaines left their Leige on a Journey they would never return from.
They went to wage War on this Creature of the Dark and its Minions of
Nightmares.
In the coming War, Trods and Freeholds alike fell to this Horror of Hate
and Fear. And many Noble Fae were destroyed forever, as their spirits were
blasted from their Mortal Shells. Contact with fellow Fae throughout the
County and beyond was lost, and many do not even know that such an atrocity
has even occured within the Realm, so insidious was this Creature's
ability.
In desperation, the Countess closed the Doors to the White Tower in order
to protect all those within. It only opened when those Noble few, who wished
to venture forward, in their Noble Crusade upon the Dark, with the knowledge
that once the Doors were closed behind them, they would remain shut.
A sanguine Rumour, though, is found within the Realm. One lone Freehold has
survived. Amist the Darkness and the Ravaging Hoards, one Glen has remained
safe. Guarded by two majestic Gryphons, this Freehold named appropriately,
the Sanctuary, has stayed the Hand of Darkness and remains a Light of hope.
A Beacon. Perhaps there are others...
One other oddity remains as well, the former Barony of Midguard has
remained untouched by the Dark. There are no presence of Changelings nor
any
other Chimerical Creatures to protect it, yet it stands out. It's very Aura
of Banality, creating a Buffer zone against any encroachment by the Dark.
What Future lies in store for this Kingdom? Only Time and it's Daughters,
the Fates, may say.
