94. John GILLILAND ^(17)(17) died in 1857 in Washington Co. VA.⁽⁹⁸⁾ The name is different depending on who has the information. I was told Gilliland but the 1870 Lee County census gives the spelling as Gillian

95. Rachel⁽⁹⁹⁾ was born in 1804/5.⁽¹⁰⁰⁾ According to the 1870 census of Lee County, VA Rachel is listed as being 64 yrs of age. In the 1870 Lee County, Va census Rachel is 64 yrs. of age. but the name is spelled Gillian.

The girls were twins and are said to have married brothers, (Church) Elizabeth to Nathaniel
Church but the name of the other brother is not known at this time. They left during the Civil War and did not return. I have heard from some sources that they hide out during the war and were later seen in Sneedville, TN. Another said that they had other families in Wise County and that they went back to them.

iii. David GILLILAND.
iv. Alice GILLILAND⁽¹⁷⁾ was born in 1855. ⁽⁹⁸⁾ She was buried in Jonesville, VA Memorial Cemetary.
v. Elizabeth GILLILAND⁽¹⁰¹⁾ was born on Sep 26 1836.
vi. Mary GILLILAND.
vii. Lucinda GILLILAND was born in 1848.
