Jim was the son of Anthony and Margaret Hurley Collins. He married Mallie Trent May 21, 1904. They lived most of their life in East TN. (Hancock Co.) and Lower Lee Co. He bought a farm and built a house in Blue Hollow near Vanhuss Grove Chruch where he lived from around 1920 until his death. He worked as a miner, logger, and a farmer. They had 10 children.
Mallie Estel TRENT (daughter of Millard TRENT and
Betty Alice Ann Elizabeth CHURCH) was born on Jan 9 1888.
She died on Mar 23 1963 in Lee County,VA Burial in Vanhuss Grove Cemetary.
