21. Opel Evelyn COLLINS was born on Jun 21 1927 in Lee County,VA. Evelyn lives in Rose Hill, VA in Lee County. She has spent most of her life there and raised 7 children on hers and Arthurs' s farm. She belongs to Ball Chapel Church and is a member of the Rebecca's, The Homemakers Club and is The Rescue Squad Aux. where she has been President twice. She continues to work in her community to make it better. She and her husband Authur help start the Thomas Walker Football team.
She and the girls sang gospel music in area churches and still do at times when they all get together.
Married at only fourteen years of age she got her G. E. D. in her fifties and also her CNA.

She was married to Arthur LEE (son of Gilbert LEE and Melvina (Vina) COMBS) on Jan 3 1942. Arthur LEE was born on Apr 10 1923 in Lee County,VA. He died on May 1 1984 in Home Rose Hill, Va. He served in the military 1940- May4,1943. Lived in Lee County most of his life. He served in World War II, 3 years. He guarded German prisoners in Texas as a M. P. for 18 months. He spent the rest of his time in Germany, France and England. He came Home March 4, 1943. He worked as a correctional officer from Jun 1, 1953 until May 1, 1984 when he died. e lived on his farm in Oppossum Hollow area 5 miles form Rose Hill, Va. Arhur lived in Lee County VA most of his life. He served in World War II, 3 years. He guarded Germans prisoners in Texas as a M. P. for 18 months. He lived and farmed a farm in Oppossum Hollow area 5 miles from Rose Hill, VA. This is part of the Lee Farm that his father Gilbert and mother Vina Combs Lee bought when they moved from KY. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spoiling his grandchildren. He was one of the founders of the Thomas Walker Football program and one of the concession stands on the football field is named for him. Opel Evelyn COLLINS and Arthur LEE had the following children:
